The testing report for the web portal is completed. We are now preparing for the project tradeshow and the presentation. The documentation is nearly completed.


27th May 2016

I have completed the charts that Mr Ken requested during the last checkpoint. I continued with the testing report for the documentation. Once I completed the report I uploaded the file to Facebook for the other members to read. Wing Lun will be compiling all the reports and finalize everything.

19th May 2016

I started by presenting the duty roster and resource planning on the system since I was not able to deliver it in the last checkpoint with Mr Ken. After that, I proceeded with the other functions in the web portal. Mr Ken requested to make some changes on the updating status, staff occupancy, the dashboard colour and the staff chart to be place at the right bottom of the dashboard. Before the meeting ends. Ms Robina informed us that we needed to prepare for the last presentation and a project tradeshow that is held on June.

12th May 2016

Today’s meeting is to finalize and check everything before the checkpoint with Mr Ken. All the functions were working well. The designs for the mobile and web portal is also checked to ensure they are synchronize.

4th May 2016

Yesterday I met up with Jacqueline to fix the connection of the web portal and mobile application. We did not succeed at first. After trying a few more times, we were able to make the connection. Once the connection is made, we tested out on the functions.

20th April 2016

In this meeting, I tried to connect the system with the mobile application. The connection was not able to form and we tried a few times then found out there was a bug in the mobile application. Jacqueline decided to go back and fix the bug and we can continue the task we were given. Wei Tian has presented the logo and have asked me to include it in the web portal.

15th April 2016

The duty roster and resource planning is nearly done. Wei Tian has assist me on the design of the web portal. She drawn out drafts and labeled all the colour code for me to make the changes. I sent a print screen to the Facebook group we have to update all the members.

7th April 2016

After updating the members of my progress, I raise some questions regarding about the structure and the data derive from the database as I found it confusing as I was developing it. The group helped and explained to me, and I was able to have a better understanding of it. We had also discussed about the project logo and name, after much consideration we decided to name our project Beautify. The logo design is assigned to Wei Tian.

24th March 2016

I started by presenting the web portal to Mr Ken and Ms Robina. I was not able to deliver the duty roster and resource planning functions in this checkpoint because it is still in the process of development. Mr Ken advised me to focus on both the duty roster and resource planning functions because there were the more important functions in the whole system. He gave me some ideas to interpret the duty roster in the system. He also mention that I need to change the design of the web portal to synchronize with the mobile application.
